Welcome to the learning library.

This series of short, focused modules has been designed to build knowledge, confidence, and practical understanding in dementia care. Each session is grounded in real-world practice and supports you to deliver care that is informed, compassionate, and person-centred.

The content follows a structured progression, covering key areas including understanding dementia, communication, recognising changes in health, person-centred care, and supporting people towards the end of life.

By working through these modules, you will develop the core knowledge and approaches needed to better understand the experience of living with dementia and to respond in ways that promote dignity, wellbeing, and quality of life.

These modules are evidence-based and aligned with recognised UK standards:

  • National Dementia Training Standards Framework (NDTSF) – Tier 1
Core knowledge expected of all staff supporting people living with dementia

  • Care Quality Commission (CQC) Key Lines of Enquiry
Effective, Caring, Well-led — the standards used to assess the quality of care services in England

  • National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) Guideline NG97
Dementia: assessment, management and support for people living with dementia and their families

Each module includes clear learning outcomes and a short quiz to help reinforce your understanding and support reflective practice.
